Senator Diket Plang has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering impactful representation for his constituents in Plateau Central Senatorial District. Speaking to journalists, Plang highlighted his achievements in employment, constituency projects, and legislative interventions.
The Senator disclosed that he has facilitated employment for over 100 graduates into federal agencies, with several others gaining positions in paramilitary agencies. He also revealed plans to sponsor four students to study in India.
Plang described allegations of underperformance as unfair and politically motivated, citing his chairmanship of the Senate Committee on Labour, Employment and Productivity, and membership of several strategic committees.
He listed extensive interventions in education and security, including the completion of perimeter fencing of schools, provision of solar-powered lighting, and construction of police facilities. The Senator also highlighted his role in sponsoring bills and motions, including the establishment of a Federal University of Mining and Geosciences and the inclusion of the Akwanga-Jos-Gombe Road as a presidential legacy project.
Plang urged constituents to engage in constructive politics, calling for unity and support as he seeks to do more within his remaining tenure.
