Jos, Plateau State – Senator Dr Da David Jonah Jang, a revered statesman and former Governor of Plateau State, celebrated his 80th birthday in grand style at his country home in Du Jos South local government, surrounded by top dignitaries, politicians, and well-wishers.
The event was attended by notable personalities, including the immediate past Governor of Plateau State, Senator Simon Bako Lalong KSGG, Senator representing the southern senatorial zone, Professor Danladi Atu, former appointees of Senator Jang, Chief Kefas Ropshik Kefiano, Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwom, members of the Plateau State Executive Council, local government chairmen, and the PDP State Chairman, Hon Raymond Dabo.
Senator Lalong, who spoke at the event, expressed his joy and appreciation to God Almighty for Senator Jang’s life, saying, “As an elder statesman, Jang has really impacted positively on the growth and development of our dear state during his time as the governor of Plateau, Adamawa, and Benue states respectively.”
Chief Kefas Ropshik Kefiano, a former appointee of Senator Jang, also thanked God for the senator’s life, saying, “As a father and mentor, we have learnt a lot from his wisdom, and we pray for more long life to him.”
Various goodwill messages were received from dignitaries, including Senator Simon Davou Mwadkwom, the PDP State Chairman, and the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Arc. Samuel Nanchang Jatau.
