Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam, Plateau State – the chairperson in charge of plateau state APC primaries elections Hon Stella Okotite has confirmed that Barr. Nandom Andrew Kura is the assigned Pankshin Kanke Kanam PKK federal constituency primaries elections, and the results declared by him is the authentic results and is the only one saddles with the responsibility to conduct and announce the results of the constituency any other person who announced any results is fake and should be disregarded and as such the results announced by Barr. Nandom Andrew Kura is the authentic one and the declaration made by him the the legitimate one and the recognised one by the party and her as she appointed at him and is she have coalited the results brought by him.
This has put to rest the rumours of purported results that Rt. Hon Yusuf Adamu Gagdi is the authentic winner of Pankshin Kanke Kanam federal constituency.
The incumbent member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress primaries held on May 16, 2026, securing the party’s ticket for a third term in the House of Representatives.
Gagdi polled 29,207 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Zephion Terkop Chrisanthus, who scored 848 votes. Other contestants in the race were Henry Gotip Jan, Abbas Adamu Wokdung, and John Tongshenen.
Announcing the results, the Federal Constituency Coalition Officer, Barr. Nandom Andrew Kura, said five aspirants participated in the primary. He declared Gagdi winner having scored the highest number of votes in the exercise.
The victory marks a step toward Gagdi’s third term in the National Assembly. Congratulations have poured in from supporters and well-wishers across the constituency and on social media, with many describing the outcome as a reflection of his performance in office.
Ahead of the primaries, Gagdi undertook a three-day tour of all wards in the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency to canvass support. Many constituents attributed his win to his record of projects and interventions in education, infrastructure, and empowerment across the area.
Party sources said Gagdi’s grassroots engagement and empowerment programmes distinguished him from previous representatives of the constituency. They noted that the scale of his outreach and support to constituents contributed significantly to the margin of victory at the primaries.
