The Concerned Mikang APC Youths at Home and in the Diaspora have reaffirmed their unwavering support for the outcome of the recently concluded APC primary election, describing the victory recorded by Rt. Hon. Daniel Naanlong in three out of the four districts of Mikang Constituency as a clear demonstration of his widespread acceptance and overwhelming grassroots support across the constituency.

According to the group, elections remain the most credible measure of the people’s will, and the outcome of the primary election has shown beyond doubt that the majority of APC members and supporters in Mikang have confidence in the leadership, representation, and political direction of Rt. Hon. Daniel Naanlong.

The youths noted that winning three out of four districts is not a mere political statistic but a strong endorsement from the grassroots.

They stressed that such a decisive performance reflects the trust, confidence, and appreciation the people have for the Speaker’s commitment to service, inclusiveness, and constituency development.

The group further stated that Rt. Hon. Daniel Naanlong, who currently serves as Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and represents Mikang State Constituency, has remained a visible and influential voice for the people, earning recognition through years of legislative service and leadership.

“We stand firmly with the people’s choice. The outcome of the primary election is a direct reflection of the wishes of APC members across Mikang. Winning three out of four districts is a clear mandate from the grassroots and should be respected by all lovers of democracy,” the statement read.

The youths therefore called on all party faithful, stakeholders, and supporters to respect the outcome of the primary process and avoid actions capable of creating unnecessary division within the party.

It emphasized that the unity and strength of the APC should remain the collective priority of all members
urging aggrieved aspirants and their supporters to embrace the spirit of sportsmanship, accept the verdict of party members, and work together for the success of the APC in future elections.

The youth group noted that democracy flourish when leaders and supporters alike respect the will of the majority, stressing that the party’s progress and the development of Mikang should take precedence over personal ambitions and political interests.

The Concerned Youths expressed confidence that the people of Mikang have spoken through the ballot and that their collective decision must be respected, protected, and upheld in the interest of justice, party unity, and democratic principles.
