Gindiri, Plateau State – Shansat Nigerian Limited has rehabilitated and installed a fully solar-powered 1.5 horse power borehole system at Girls High School, Gindiri, as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, the CEO of Shansat Nigerian Limited, Mr. Caring Simon, represented by Tapkor Shem, said the project was aimed at providing sustainable access to clean water for the students and staff of the school.
“This project represents hope, health, and progress. To the young ladies of this great institution, this is for you. Access to clean water means more time to focus on your education, better hygiene, improved health, and a more comfortable learning environment,” he said.
The solar-powered borehole system was commissioned by Honourable Ziphion Chrysanthus, who dedicated it to the glory of God and service to humanity.
Speaking during the commissioning ceremony, Hon. Ziphion Chrysanthus praised Shangsat Nigerian Limited for their commitment to giving back to the community, saying it reflected their love for humanity. He called on other spirited individuals to emulate this gesture, emphasizing the importance of localized solutions to security challenges.
The Principal of Girls High School, Gindiri, Mrs. Tabitha B. Trusale, expressed her gratitude for the intervention, saying it had helped the school save a significant amount of money spent on fueling the borehole. She prayed for God’s blessings on Shangsat Nigerian Limited, saying their efforts would have a lasting impact on the school and the community.
The Chaplain of Gindiri Schools Chaplaincy, Rev. Dawuda Jakawa, also appreciated Shangsat Nigerian Limited for their support, saying it would reduce the water problem faced by the school. He noted that the intervention was timely, given the epileptic nature of power supply in the area.
Squadron Leader FOB Gindiri, P. Zumka, who represented the military, praised Shangsat Nigerian Limited for their efforts, saying it was a model for others to follow. He emphasized the importance of security and urged the community to be vigilant, saying the military was committed to protecting the people.
The solar-powered borehole system has a capacity of 1.5 horse power and is expected to provide clean water for the students and staff of Girls High School, Gindiri. The installation of the system is a significant milestone in the school’s efforts to improve its infrastructure and provide a better learning environment for its students.
The event was attended by the PTA chairman, Gosa members, and representatives of the community, who lauded Shangsat Nigerian Limited for their generosity. They expressed hope that the solar-powered borehole system would benefit the school and the community at large.
