Today, I join the good people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam (PKK) Federal Constituency in giving thanks to Almighty God for yet another historic milestone in our collective journey of development.

It is on record that the former Federal College of Education, Pankshin was upgraded to the Federal University of Education, Pankshin through a bill I single-handedly sponsored in the House of Representatives. The bill was graciously assented to by former President Muhammadu Buhari, while President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, subsequently directed the full take-off of the university. Today, a substantive Vice-Chancellor has been appointed, the institution has commenced operations, and the dream of a Federal University of Education in Pankshin has become a reality after a lot of political name calling.

Following this development, the House of Representatives, in 2024, passed my bill for the establishment of a new Federal College of Education, Dengi Kanam, to replace the former college that had been upgraded to a university.

During the National Assembly Open Week last Tuesday last week, I had the privilege of engaging the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, GCON, while he jointly presided with the Speaker of the House of Representatives. On that occasion, the Senate President assured me that the Senate would expeditiously concur with the bill already passed by the House of Representatives.

By the special grace of God, I am delighted to announce that today, the 21st of July 2026, the Senate unanimously adopted and concurred with the bill through 1st, 2nd, 3rd reading and concurrence in one seating. What now remains is the gracious assent of Mr. President before this landmark legislation becomes law.

This is another significant victory for our constituency and a clear demonstration that purposeful representation delivers tangible results.

As if that were not enough, another major milestone is also on the horizon. The bill I am sponsoring on behalf of the Nigerian Navy to establish NAVTRC included the Nigerian Navy Basic and Technical Institute in Kanke Local Government Area is making remarkable progress as it is push for the third reading. This represents an even greater achievement than the earlier proposal for a Navy Secondary School in kanke, as it will provide both basic and professional technical profession education to both the navy, creating enormous opportunities for our youths and strengthening national manpower development as well as providing a military base to the entire people of PKK.

Indeed, these are transformational developments for our people:

1. Congratulations to Pankshin for the Federal University of Education that is already operational.
2. Congratulations to Kanam as both the House of Representatives and the Senate have now agreed on the establishment of the Federal College of Education, Dengi Kanam, now awaiting the gracious assent of Mr. President.
3. Congratulations to Kanke as it prepares to host the Nigerian Navy Basic and Technical Institute, another institution of national significance.

To those who dismissed our promises as mere campaign rhetoric, these achievements stand as undeniable evidence that sincere leadership, hard work, perseverance, and the grace of Almighty God always produce results. We remain focused on delivering measurable dividends of democracy, not empty promises.

I sincerely thank the good people of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency for the confidence and mandate you have entrusted to me. Your unwavering support continues to inspire me to pursue greater opportunities and lasting development for our constituency.

Together, we shall continue to make history.

Congratulations, PKK!

May Almighty God continue to bless Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency, Plateau State, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
