Mutfwang Pledges Support as Plateau Inaugurates Renewed Hope Youth Engagement, Names Wilson Manji Coordinator

 The Plateau State chapter of the Renewed Hope Youth Engagement (RHYE) was officially inaugurated on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at the Tamarald Event Centre in Jos, with Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang pledging his administration’s support for youth empowerment and leadership development.
Represented by Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo, the governor described RHYE as a platform that aligns with his government’s commitment to youth inclusion, innovation, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
“This inauguration is more than the unveiling of a political structure. It is a shared vision that recognizes young people as indispensable partners in nation-building,” Gov. Mutfwang said.

He congratulated the national leadership of RHYE, the newly inaugurated Plateau State Coordinator, *Mr. Wilson Manji*, and members of the coordinating team for mobilizing youths around ideals of responsible citizenship and patriotism. RHYE Leadership Unveiled
Hon. Abdulazeez Abubakar Kaka, National Coordinator of RHYE, performed the inauguration alongside the Deputy Governor. Mr. Manji was formally inaugurated as the Plateau State Coordinator.

Hon. Kaka said President Tinubu’s economic reforms had increased allocations to states, enabling greater investment in infrastructure and development. He urged the Plateau team to build a formidable grassroots structure ahead of 2027, he commended the youths for their resilience towards ensuring the victory of president Tinubu in 2027.

In his acceptance speech, Manji expressed confidence that Plateau would deliver overwhelming support for *President Bola Ahmed Tinubu* in the 2027 elections.
“You know what happened in 2023, but 2027 will be different. Plateau people will deliver the desired votes for President Tinubu,” he said.

Manji announced plans to inaugurate coordinators across the 17 LGAs, down to ward and polling unit levels to promote the Renewed Hope Agenda through government achievements in the state. He said the engagement would target youths, women, students, and community stakeholders.

Hon. Ernest Abner Da’a, Plateau State Renewed Hope Ambassador, defended federal reforms including fuel subsidy removal and forex unification. He noted that while initial hardship was experienced, the policies had increased revenue for infrastructure. He cited the reconstruction of the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe Highway, the student loan scheme, and improved welfare for the Armed Forces as key achievements.

Dr. David Daser, President of the Digital Bridge Institute and Coordinator of the City Boys Movement in Plateau, commended President Tinubu and Gov. Mutfwang for their support to youths. He also applauded APC National Chairman *Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda* for his leadership that is making impact, he call on the youths to actively participate in the movement as president Tinubu has more good things coming to plateau.
