Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel, has felicitated with Distinguished Senator Simon Mwadkon PhD, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, describing the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate a life dedicated to public service, democratic values, and the advancement of the people.
The Speaker said Senator Mwadkon’s years in public office, particularly his service in the National Assembly, have demonstrated the importance of experience, intellectual depth, courage, and commitment in providing effective representation and contributing to the growth of democratic institutions.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel acknowledged the former Senate Minority Leader’s remarkable parliamentary journey, noting that his experience across the House of Representatives and the Senate has given him a unique understanding of the legislative process and the responsibility that comes with representing the people.
He particularly commended Senator Mwadkon for his contributions to legislative discourse and his ability to engage issues of national importance with maturity and a deep understanding of the aspirations of the Nigerian people.
According to the Speaker, Senator Mwadkon’s 58th birthday is not merely a celebration of age, but a moment to appreciate decades of meaningful contributions to Plateau State and Nigeria, as well as the values of perseverance, service, and dedication that have defined his public life.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel further described Senator Mwadkon as a leader whose wealth of experience and understanding of governance remain valuable assets to Plateau State, stressing the need for experienced public servants to continue sharing their knowledge and contributing to the development of the State and the nation.
He expressed optimism that Senator Mwadkon would continue to make significant contributions to the peace, unity, progress, and democratic development of Plateau State, while wishing him renewed strength for greater responsibilities in the years ahead.
