— CLAIMS OF WITHDRAWAL FALSE AND MISLEADING.
Our attention has been drawn to a misleading publication being circulated in the conventional and non conventional media under the name “Mikang Advocates for Fairness and Equity,” falsely alleging that the Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil, has stepped aside from the race for the Mikang State Constituency seat.
We wish to make it categorically clear that Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil has not stepped down from the race, neither has not withdrawn his aspiration, and has not contemplated conceding to any candidate.
The said publication is not only false and misleading, it is a calculated attempt by my opponents and detractors to deceived my supporters and public and should be disregarded in its entirety.
Rt. Hon. Naanlong Daniel Gapyil remains fully committed to the democratic process and continues to enjoy the support and confidence of stakeholders and supporters across Keonem, Piapung, and Garkawa districts.
His aspiration remains rooted in service, accountability, and the collective development of Mikang Local Government Area.
We strongly advise individuals and groups spreading such unverified information to desist from acts capable of creating political tension and misunderstanding among the people.
The public is urged to always verify information from official and authorized sources before circulation.
The Speaker remains focused, committed, and actively engaged with his supporters and the good people of Mikang as consultations and democratic engagements continue across the constituency.
We called on all supporters, party faithful, and stakeholders to remain calm, united, and law-abiding while disregarding any false reports regarding his political status.
