The North Central Coordinator for the North Central Youth Movement for Tinubu/Mutfwang 2027, Amb. Godwin Benson Ogbeche, and his team visited the GRA community and the GRA Youth Forum in Jos plateau state on Saturday, May 9, 2026, to campaign for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election and promote the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda. The team also canvassed support for Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang’s second-term bid.
Addressing residents, Godwin Ogwuche highlighted the president’s achievements and interventions across the country, saying the Tinubu administration had brought significant federal presence to Plateau State. He promised that GRA youths and women would be carried along in ongoing empowerment and palliative programmes, urging the community to work closely with the movement to access benefits directly from the government.
Stakeholder Kevin Donglong charged the GRA community to support both Governor Mutfwang and President Tinubu, but lamented that the area had been neglected despite delivering massive votes in previous elections. He said GRA residents had not felt the impact of government interventions and called for more inclusiveness in the distribution of palliatives and projects.
GRA Youth Forum Chairman David Mwoltu Daddy stressed the need for basic amenities, particularly water, security lights, and youth empowerment. He said the community had been left behind in the distribution of government palliatives and appealed for GRA to be included in future interventions. He added that the forum would work with the North Central Movement for Tinubu 2027 and support Mutfwang’s second term if the community’s needs were addressed.
GRA Women Leader Victoria Bulus echoed concerns over water scarcity, insecurity, and the education of children. She urged the government to provide writing materials, scholarships, and improved school facilities, noting that many children were out of school due to financial hardship. She pledged the women’s support for Tinubu and Mutfwang but said visible impact in GRA would determine continued loyalty.
APC Youth Leader Danjuma Selkong Bali said the Tinubu administration was working to make Nigeria great and urged residents to hold their elected officials accountable for the resources allocated to states and local governments. He noted that Plateau had benefited from federal appointments and projects and called on youths to organise themselves responsibly and avoid being
used for political violence.
Deborah Dauda Gazama, a stakeholder and political influencer in GRA, commended the North Central Youth Movement for identifying with the community. She encouraged residents to continue mobilising for voter registration and said GRA had shown capacity to deliver votes but needed to see corresponding government presence. She urged the president to assist the state in tackling insecurity in rural areas.
Ogwuche said his movement, in collaboration with the Young Professionals for Tinubu in Abuja, was working to ensure every youth in the North Central region was reached. He disclosed that palliatives, including rice, had been distributed in parts of Plateau and pledged to work with GRA youth leadership to ensure future interventions reached the grassroots directly.
The visit ended with a commitment from both the movement and GRA stakeholders to collaborate on voter mobilisation for 2027, with the understanding that GRA’s support would depend on tangible improvements in water supply, security, education, and youth empowerment.
